About the Project
CasaStream is a German real estate platform designed to help users discover, evaluate, and buy or rent properties with the support of AI. The client approached us with a polished Lovable prototype (a rapid prototyping platform), but it was only a front end, lacking backend infrastructure. There was no database, property listing management, user authentication, or content management system, leaving the client dependent on developers for even basic website updates.
Our developers transformed the prototype into a fully functional, business-ready platform. We began by designing a scalable data architecture that defined the relationships between properties, users, media, service providers, plans, and subscriptions.
We then developed the complete solution, including a dynamic property portal, role-based administration dashboards, a subscription system that supports two payment providers, and AI-powered features to enhance the property discovery experience. Users can visualize furnished interiors using AI room staging, compare original and AI-generated designs with an interactive slider, and toggle between day and night lighting conditions. The platform also includes an AI-powered expert that provides answers based on the client’s proprietary knowledge base, as well as an AI voice assistant for customer support.

AI Room Staging With Comparison Slider
Our developers created AI room staging that allows users to envision their preferred furniture style in an empty room, and AI generates a furnished version of that space, with sliders for day and night lighting.

We integrated a conversational property expert into the platform, automating client support and answering buyer questions in natural language rather than generic bot responses.

Map Search With Price Heatmap
We overlaid a heatmap of local property prices on interactive Mapbox and MapLibre maps with location search, allowing users to read the German market at a glance.

Real-time chat between users and property dealers, threaded against the relevant property or service so inquiries, quotes and follow-ups stay in one place and on-platform.
Project Challenges
One of the major challenges was rebuilding a Lovable prototype into a high-performing AI-powered real estate platform. A Lovable export gives you screens, not a system, and every piece of state on those screens was hardcoded; behind them there was no database, no authentication, and no content model. Our developers had to identify which visuals worked, and everything else was completely changed.
Another challenge was implementing AI room staging that looked photorealistic. A furnished room that looks obviously AI-generated undermines trust, so the generated images needed to align closely with the original photo’s perspective, lighting, and architectural details to provide an immersive experience. Training the chat and voice assistants based on clients’ knowledge was a sensitive task. Our developers ensured that the property assistant doesn’t invent facts about the buying process, as that would make it a liability rather than a feature.
Stripe and PayPal model subscriptions work differently. Our developers reconciled two providers’ logic into a single internal source of truth, allowing users to purchase multiple subscriptions in a single transaction while keeping each independently billable and cancellable.
Solutions & Impact
We worked as the client’s extended engineering team for a year, with four developers supporting the project throughout that time. We began with the architecture, designing a unified data model for properties, users, media, partners, plans, and subscriptions. This foundation created a scalable system that could support multiple platforms under one shared user base and data layer.
Our developers built AI-powered property staging with day/night modes and an interactive comparison slider, along with AI chat and voice assistants trained on the client’s knowledge base. Using ElevenLabs, Twilio, Mapbox, and MapLibre, we also delivered responsive voice support and an interactive property map with regional pricing heatmaps.
For commerce, we integrated Stripe and PayPal, with complete subscription management and a unified checkout that supports multiple subscriptions in a single transaction. The admin portal gives non-technical staff control over listings, content, media, services, plans, and pricing, with role-based permissions.
Now, CasaStream independently operates a scalable real estate platform where three websites function as a single ecosystem, buyers get AI-powered property discovery and support, and routine management no longer depends on engineering resources.
