Foxi Music specializes in royalty-free music. Foxi Music contacted us and presented its idea to our team. The client wanted a fully featured music website where users can download free and paid tracks with a subscription.
They basically wanted to present royalty-free music for unlimited online use. You can find the perfect soundtrack for your project here. Our team met with Foxi Music leadership to understand their business and challenges. This was their original vision to build a platform that solves all the music-related needs, which we made true in a brief amount of time. We created a timeline of milestones and deliverables so we would hit their event launch date.

Developed a custom filter that can filter tracks by collections, tags, categories, trending, newest, and more.

Major Project Challenges
The task at hand was very clear and at the same time quite broad. There was a high level of competition, as there are a lot of already-promoted and popular music services on the web. The client was expecting the development agency to have a local team and presence for day-to-day communication on this project.
They want an advanced search with filters. They also wanted to restrict music downloads based on an active subscription, and download a preview if the user has no active subscription. Another major issue was to generate playlists in a fast and easy way. Add tracks to playlists as well. All this required some deep research from the music industry.
A major feature was also demanded, as most competitors have that feature. They wanted a music player with a wave effect and to play one track at a time. Given the high level of competition online, they wanted an eye-catching design as well.
Foxi Music had the advantage of exclusive ownership and a quality product, but they needed to break through the noise. We provided consultation services for several months and developed multiple product features for them.

What we did was:
- Adopt a hybrid project management approach, Agile + Scrum, to complete the website on time.
- Developed a custom sidebar filter with the ability to filter by different parameters.
- Implemented the Transient concept to make the search faster.
- Made subscription modules and tracked downloads to stop users from downloading once the limit is reached.
- Created a music player with wave and play/pause functionality.
- Built a custom playlists page with filter options like themes, genres, and moods. Also developed the ability to add tracks to playlists.
Using Agile processes, we delivered these technical solutions on time and within budget while ensuring effective communication with their team.
