About The Project
Divi Machine is a WordPress plugin made for people who want more than static content. It is designed specifically for Divi users who want to build dynamic and interactive websites without coding. This plugin was engineered to make Divi a complete content management powerhouse.
When the project came into our hands, they were only concerned about dynamic content management. While that wasn’t their strength, they had an excellent visual page builder, which we could reuse. Our goal was to use it to display hundreds of products, portfolio items, or directory listings with full creative control.
This is what the market needed. The next step was to make the plugin integrate with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), custom post types, and taxonomies. A plugin that speaks Divi’s language while being adaptive to more content capabilities. The end goal was to make Divi Machine a plugin that can create advanced websites easily. Be it a portfolio site, a property directory, a job board, or any heavy website.
That’s exactly what we made for them in less than 5 months.
Key Project Deliverables
These were the primary outputs, products, and features provided by us to meet the project objectives.
A Dynamic Content Module
This could display post titles, content, meta fields, taxonomies, and custom fields. Along with that, ACF integration was made possible, giving control over how each element is shown.
Advanced Layout System
Choose from grid, masonry, carousel, slider, list switcher, and map views to present listings. These formats are industry standard, engaging, and can be molded for any niche.
Ajax Filters & Search
Intelligent filtering by multiple criteria with instant page updates and no reload. Filter by custom fields or post meta. Plus, the search functionality makes it easier to find specific content quickly.
Custom Post Type Manager
Create and manage each and every post type and taxonomy. Websites can handle difficult structures like directories, portfolios, or property listings with ease.
Performance Optimization
With built-in transient caching, Divi Machine guarantees fast loading times, smooth performance, and such solutions that are required to grow dynamic websites.
Content Loading Controls
Add infinite scroll, load more buttons, or classic pagination to enhance user experience and boost engagement across large content-heavy websites.
Major Project Challenges
Before Divi Machine, creating dynamic, content-heavy websites was difficult. You either had to learn custom coding, hire developers, or use multiple plugins.
Divi’s native builder was good at making beautiful, static designs. But the moment you wanted to display dynamic content, it fell short. Users wanted a plugin that can carry filtered listings, custom post types, and ACF field variations. Without native support for these features, Divi users either had to resort to tedious workarounds or abandon the Divi builder completely.
The core challenge was not the technical complexity. There was no plan to build an ecosystem. There was a need for a unified solution that gave Divi users advanced features. A completely flexible content management system with low coding and the best design options.
Solutions & Impact
We built the Divi Machine as the missing piece in the Divi ecosystem. The architecture had six distinct layout engines. Each of those was assigned a specific task (for example, an intelligent filtering system that uses AJAX was used to keep the experience smooth).
The plugin natively understands ACF, custom fields, and complex data structures. This helped developers to get complete control. All of this, without abandoning Divi’s visual design builder.
We also implemented built-in transient caching from the ground up. This made sure that even sites with massive content libraries maintain rapid loading times. Custom fields automatically become available within Divi modules. And lastly, filters were applied quickly without page reloads.
The impact was that developers can now build feature-rich, advanced websites in Divi. And the major benefit is that they no longer need custom code or a third-party plugin. What used to require weeks of development now takes days.
