About The Project
Divi BodyCommerce is an advanced WooCommerce plugin. It puts complete control of their online store in the hands of Divi users.
Divi is one of our esteemed clients. They have a lot of knowledge of their plugin and user issues. A major challenge was the lack of native integration with WooCommerce’s advanced features. Divi users were forced to use solutions from multiple vendors, creating a fragile setup.
We consulted to make a single, all-inclusive package. With over 65 custom modules and 30+ features, we made such a toolkit that solves all problems. After this, the plugin was able to handle everything. Product filters, variation swatches, add-to-cart, and custom product badges can all be managed from Divi BodyCommerce.
Lastly, the team collaboratively enjoyed working with this client and project.
Key Project Deliverables
The final product milestones that directly impact store owners’ bottom lines:
Ajax Product Filters
Dynamic filters help customers to refine products by attributes like price, category, or size. All of this without refreshing the page, for ultra-smooth navigation.
Variation Swatches
Customizable swatches give you control over how product variations are displayed. You can now use colors, images, or badges to create an interactive shopping experience.
Add-to-Cart & 30+ Features
Add-to-cart functionality eliminates page reloads. This reduces friction and improves the likelihood of 100% successful checkouts and returning customers as well.
Custom Product Loops
Unique loop layouts help Divi users move beyond standard WooCommerce designs. Now you can create visually fantastic product showcases related to your brand identity.
Custom Product Badges
Flexible badge styling, positioning, and timing features highlight discounts, new arrivals, and promotions, helping stores boost visibility and drive urgency.
65+ Custom Divi Modules
Covering everything from product displays and filtering to checkout optimization and customer engagement tools. Each module is built with Divi’s visual builder in mind, so store owners never need to touch code.
Major Project Challenges
The Divi + WooCommerce ecosystem presented a big web of challenges:
Before Divi BodyCommerce, users faced a fragmented ecosystem. They needed filters, badges, swatches, and checkout features. But sourcing each from different plugins created a nightmare of issues. Some of the major issues were:
- Plugin Overload: Divi users had to install a lot of plugins for filters, badges, or swatches. This led to compatibility issues, slow performance, and more maintenance needs.
- Limited Design Control: WooCommerce’s default layouts do not have many customization options. So, it is difficult for users to make product pages for their brand design.
- Messy Add-to-Cart Flow: The old cart reload process caused user frustration. It also increased abandonment rates, especially on mobile devices.
- Low Conversion Optimization Tools: Merchants lacked built-in features such as urgency badges, variation swatches, and personalized checkout to drive more sales.
- Dependency on Technical Support: Non-technical store owners felt locked into a pattern. They needed developer help for every customization.
Lastly, each additional plugin consumes server resources. By the time a Divi store was fully featured, page load times exceeded 3-5 seconds. Slow sites mean lost customers.
Solutions & Impact
We approached this with two things in mind: consolidation with flexibility and performance with power. Here’s how we delivered a solution to fit their needs:
- Unified Plugin Architecture: We built Divi BodyCommerce as a single plugin with 65+ modules and 30+ features. This reduced reliance on multiple third-party tools.
- Better Shopping Experience: Ajax filters, variation swatches, and one-click add-to-cart functionality were implemented. This simplified navigation and sped up the buying process.
- Custom Product Presentation: Product loops and custom badges were introduced. You can highlight promotions, new arrivals, and design according to your brand voice.
- Performance Optimization: By consolidating features into one toolkit, we ensured faster load times, minimized conflicts, and improved overall site performance.
- Future-Ready Updates: The plugin was designed with scalability in mind, guaranteeing regular updates and feature rollouts to keep Divi stores competitive.
- Easy Store Management: A simplified backend helped merchants manage product displays, checkout flows, and promotions without needing multiple external plugins.
