Major Project Challenges

The first challenge was to build an eCommerce site that performed well even under heavy user traffic. We had to develop an advanced search system that allowed customers to filter products by brand, size, and color without any lag. The client wanted to showcase bestsellers and weekly featured items in an engaging way while ensuring they could organize their favorite finds into private/public wishlists.

Connecting different platforms was another technical challenge that needed to be handled carefully. We had to link Zoho data directly with WordPress user accounts to ensure information transfer was smooth between systems. This was essential for the “Find Your Club” tool, which helps users locate their specific local group. By storing these selections, the system ensures that the club owners receive the correct credit and discounts for every purchase.

The primary goal was to balance these complex features with a simple, secure, and seamless user experience. Managing a high-traffic site means continuous optimization for speed to prevent performance drops during busy periods. We focused on making sure the backend integrations worked efficiently in the background, allowing customers to browse, filter, and save products easily while keeping their data and privacy fully protected.

We have a team of specialists to handle complex technical challenges. For this project, improving the eStore’s speed while adding advanced features required proper planning up front. 

What we did was:

  • Built a custom product search and filter using Algolia that shows only available WooCommerce products, so users do not see out-of-stock items.
  • Added Algolia filter tracking to make product filtering accurate, helping users find products with fewer clicks.
  • Integrated Zoho and connected data to WordPress users, reducing manual work and keeping data accurate.
  • Improved website speed by optimizing the Plesk server, using WP Rocket caching, and improving the database, resulting in faster page loads and search results.
  • Created a custom CSV upload feature for the Nominate Club List, allowing easy club data imports without technical help.
  • Designed a clean and user-friendly interface for both desktop and mobile, ensuring a smooth experience on all devices.
  • Built custom shortcodes to display best-selling products, weekly featured items, and wishlists, helping promote popular products and increase repeat purchases.
