Infinite Innov8 – Tale of a Wonderful Journey
Eight years ago, our visionary leader, Mr. Jigar Shah, established WPWeb Infotech with a mission to craft the finest websites for companies across the globe. This journey has been nothing short of remarkable. As we celebrate this momentous milestone, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible achievements and growth we have experienced under Mr. Shah’s inspiring leadership.
After a year of hard work, everyone was looking forward to a long-awaited, well-deserved weekend blowout. So for the 8th Anniversary, or as we like to call “Infinite Innov8”, we decided to visit somewhere worthy of the celebration.
As the eve of our journey came around, smiles adorned tired faces, and the air crackled with an infectious energy that could not be contained. The weight of deadlines and responsibilities momentarily lifted, allowing us to revel in the joy of anticipation. All that was left now was the journey and the destination.
The Journey
In the wee hours of Saturday, 22nd July 2023, we embarked on a chariot (let’s call it a bus) and left for a remarkable journey to the “Land of the Kings.” Destination: Jaisamand Lake, the second-largest artificial freshwater lake in India.
The journey started with some fun-filled activities like Bingo, where everyone hoped to be the lucky winner with every call of the numbers. Next up was the ever-entertaining game of Dumb Charades, where gestures and expressions became our only means of communication.
Then, of course, as it happens with every journey, almost everyone, except a few rowdy ones, decided to catch some much-needed sleep. A few, determined to savor every moment of the journey, engaged in playful banter and camaraderie. Their laughter created a harmonious backdrop to the tranquility that enveloped the rest.
And in no time, our destination arrived.
Jaisamand Lake – The Largest Artificial Lake in Asia
Nestled amidst a picturesque landscape, Jaisamand Lake unveiled its enchanting beauty to the world like a well-kept secret finally divulged. As the sun touched its shimmering surface, the water sparkled like a million diamonds, leaving everyone spellbound.
Constructed in the 17th century by Maharana Jai Singh of Udaipur, Jaisamand Lake was intended to serve as a reservoir for irrigation and to combat drought in the region. But today, it stands as a true testament to the architectural brilliance and foresight of the past, attracting tourists from far and wide.
Along with the azure water and lush green hills, the highlight of this lake is a majestic fort called “Roothi Rani Mahal.” In true Rajasthan fashion, you can’t help but gaze upon the beauty and elegance of this enchanting landscape. All that was left to do now was reach our resort in the middle of the lake. So we boarded the boat and sailed through the waves of Jaisamand to reach the Karni Mahal Palace, perched on a picturesque hill in the lake.
Karni Mahal Palace
Located in the middle of the Jaisamand Lake, Karni Mahal Palace is a captivating resort reflecting the regal charm of the local region. The breathtaking panoramic views of the lake create a tranquil haven away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
From lavish green landscapes to the Rajput and modern fusion architecture, along with delicate jali work, the resort is a sight to behold. The sprawling lake, with its pristine waters, invites visitors to immerse themselves in the serenity of the surroundings. The resort’s serene ambiance allows guests to unwind and rejuvenate amidst nature’s embrace.
Whether lounging and strolling through the lush gardens or savoring a meal, every moment at Karni Mahal Palace is an ode to luxury and tranquility. So this resort would be an outstanding sanctuary to anyone seeking solace and a respite from the demands of daily life.
That’s why we chose Karni Mahal to celebrate Infinite Innov8.
Infinite Innov8 – Day 1
Reaching the resort after a 5-hour journey, everyone was a little tired. So after a refreshing nap and a brisk cold shower, everyone gathered in the dining area for a savory lunch. We gotta say the chefs at Karni Mahal worked up their magic and served us an outstanding meal.
A combination of gentle rain and beautiful sunshine, this day was perfect for a refreshing swim in the pool. But since there were nearly 50 of us, we couldn’t just swim around like adults. So we played pool volleyball, pool tug-of-war (yes, it was pointless as it sounds), and some silly games invented by our HRs.
Some of us spent time playing Table Tennis and Carrom Board. Of course, the rainy season and poolside fun can’t be without some delectable snacks like paneer tikka and bhajiyas.
Among all this fun, we didn’t even realize when the hours flew by with the changing hues of the sunset. The calm waters of the pool and the lake beyond transformed from a sparkling blue to a rich canvas of orange, pink, and gold.
After hours of fun, everyone needed rest and retired to the bedrooms. Then as the fragrance of dinner wafted through the corridors, everyone was ready for a feast. And boy, did the chefs turn up. The dining hall looked like the scene from “The Last Supper.” The dinner became not just a meal but a celebration of the day full of fun. So everyone gobbled food up to their necks like it was actually the last supper.
As the dinner came to an end, we were in dire need of some way to digest the food. Of course, a DJ-fueled dance party swooped in and reignited the day’s energy. Everyone gathered on the dance floor and let their inner Michael Jackson let loose. There couldn’t be a better end to the truly euphoric day we had.
Infinite Innov8 – Day 2
After all that fun we had on day 1, we all had a sound sleep. There was no worry about getting up early, doing the chores, and reaching the office. Some of us got up a little early and had breakfast sooner than others. They went for a boat ride around the lake and raved about its beauty for hours on end.
Others woke up at their pace, got dressed, and reached the breakfast buffet. After everyone had their tummies filled, it was time for a long-awaited photo session to capture some sweet memories till the next year. The backdrops of the serene Jaisamand Lake and the Karni Mahal Palace served as perfect canvases for our memories.
Today, we were due to return home. So everyone packed their bags and boarded the boats. As we set sail, Jaisamand Lake and the lush green surroundings became cherished memories forever.
Onboard the bus, the mood was still of the party. So we cranked up the tunes and let the bus turn into a mobile dance floor. Laughter and cheers echoed throughout the bus as we danced in our seats and down the aisles. As the bus carried us closer to home, the party atmosphere remained unyielding, and in no time at all, we reached the office in Ahmedabad.
Although the festivities were at an end, we knew this extraordinary journey had left an indelible mark on our souls. We’ve learned that some powerful bonds have been forged between all of us that will be held together with this astonishing company.
So last but not least, we would like to thank Mr. Jigar Shah for this exotic trip to the second-largest artificial lake in Asia. Can’t wait for the next one!
