About The Project

In 2024, TuumIO was founded by the team behind Solve.Care, a healthcare blockchain development platform. They wanted to solve problems that most Web3 projects can sidestep, including real identity, real privacy, real compliance, and real users who don’t care about gas fees. Most “decentralized” apps today still depend on centralized servers, cloud infrastructure, and trust in platform operators.

TuumIO’s vision was to invert the process and run apps directly inside the user’s wallet, governed by their protocols. Users will be able to manage and restrict the usage of their data with full transparency. They believed in “Your identity, your data, your tokens, and your assets, not the platform’s.”

TuumIO approached us to build a cross-platform mobile wallet, available on both iOS and Android, to turn the vision into real-world technology. The mobile wallet serves as an entry point to the company’s decentralized ecosystem, including identity, application networks, multi-chain assets, the SOLVE token, and the in-wallet app execution environment that enables the architecture to work. Additionally, we helped with the protocol-layer integrations that connect the wallet to TuNode and the broader Web3 world.

Problem TuumIO

Project Challenges

The major challenge was the architecture itself, as it’s a first-of-its-kind mobile wallet that executes applications instead of transactions. TuumIO wanted a wallet to run application logic locally and sandboxed with the protocol enforcing data usage limitations to enhance security. Designing the execution environment and setting the right sandbox boundaries required strong engineering discipline.

The second concern was bridging Web2 and Web3 in UX, since most TuumIO users don’t have a crypto background. So, we had to make the wallet easily approachable, similar to a banking app, while performing different tasks underneath. Additionally, TuumIO bridges across multiple networks via the protocol’s state proofs and atomic swap mechanisms. Building integrations that participate in cross-chain operations without introducing attack surfaces was difficult.

Lastly, the company’s healthcare origin set a privacy and compliance bar that is often avoided by Web3 wallets. The wallet had to handle sensitive identity claims and personal information, just like any healthcare product, ensuring secure data storage and usage in the apps.

We built a React Native-based Web3 wallet and decentralized application platform that enables users to securely manage their identity, assets, and applications across multiple blockchain networks. The wallet was designed to make decentralized technology accessible to mainstream users while maintaining strong security, privacy, and transparency standards.

To deliver a secure, scalable, and user-friendly product, we implemented several key features.

The platform enabled developers to onboard Application Networks, delivered a decentralized user experience across multiple chains, and established the infrastructure needed to support the continued growth of the TuumIO ecosystem.
