Healthcare IT News is part of HIMSS Media, a B2B media group focused exclusively on healthcare and technology markets. HIMSS Media delivers news, analysis, and must-have information to an audience of senior healthcare and technology influencers.
The client came to us with issues handling large amounts of news, images, videos, and regional content on one website. They needed faster search, quick updates, better performance, and organized news categories. We built solutions like fast search filters, video integration, email alerts, and flexible content blocks. These solutions made the website faster, easier to manage, and better for users.

Major Project Challenges
The news and media industries always face the challenge of handling large volumes of data, images, and videos, which require better database management, processing, and data presentation. Also, HealthCare IT News provides news from different regions, so it will be challenging to handle all the news on a single website.

Solutions & Impact
Our team has analyzed the requirements and developed solutions for each point of the challenge. Also, before implementing the solution on the website, we conducted comprehensive testing to ensure everything worked as intended.
- Implemented Drupal search index and Facet on the website to provide faster search results as well as load the data quickly.
- Developed a custom module to integrate the Marketo form API, which will get the registration form from Marketo and allow users to subscribe to the email notification.
- Implemented the BrightCove video cloud solution on the website to embed the video directly from BrightCove to the website, which will save the bandwidth of the website.
- Implemented the views filter on the website, which will allow users to search for or find our specific news quickly.
- Created different types of block views on a website, which represent views on the website, so that the user can see the overview of each news item from one page.
